Registration for the WEVaxToWin Contest (the "Contest") starts on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 beginning at 10:00 a.m., Eastern Time ("EST") (the “Launch Day”) and will end upon the last draw (the "Contest Period").
To receive one (1) entry into the Contest, entrants must enter all the personal information required on the online entry form located at WEVaxToWin.ca. Entrants will be required to provide proof of residency in the City of Windsor or any other municipality within the County of Essex (“Windsor-Essex”) and proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 to claim a prize. Each entrant may only enter the Contest one (1) time, and is only eligible to win one (1) prize. Once a winner is announced, that entrant’s name is removed from future draws. Unless otherwise noted, different individuals residing within the same residence may win separate prizes. Any entrant who enters the Contest more than once will be ineligible for a prize. In the event an ineligible person participates in the Contest and is chosen as a winner, such person will be disqualified from winning the prize and the prize will be forfeited and redrawn.
The Contest is open to residents of Windsor-Essex who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Entrants must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to registration. Entrants who are under the age of 18 at the time of registration will require the consent of a parent or guardian.
The following individuals and all of their immediate family members residing in the same household are prohibited from entering the Contest: the Mayor, Councillors, Chief Administrative Officer and members of the Corporate Leadership Team of the City; the Warden, Councillors, Chief Administrative Officer and members of the senior management team of the County; and employees of the City and the County who are directly or indirectly providing services in connection with the operation of this Contest.
The first draw will occur on October 1, 2021 and subsequent draws will then follow on a weekly basis. At each draw, entries will be randomly selected, using a computer-generated selection process, from all eligible entries received. Entrants do not have to be present during the time of the draw to be eligible to win.
The Corporation of the City of Windsor (the "City") and The Corporation of the County of Essex (the “County”, and together with the City, the “Sponsors”) will announce the names of each winner and their corresponding prize on WEVaxToWin.ca. Selected entrants will then have until the end of the Contest Period to claim their prize. Failure of a selected entrant to claim their prize within such time period or otherwise comply with the Contest Rules will result in the prize being forfeited, and the prize will be drawn for again.
Odds of winning depend on the number and timing of eligible entries received prior to each draw.
An initial list of prizes and their approximate value will be published on the Launch Day at WEVaxToWin.ca, however corporate sponsorships continue to be encouraged and it is anticipated that additional donations will be made available throughout the Contest Period. As new prizes are added, they will be published at WEVaxToWin.ca along with their approximate value.
No cash options are available for the prizes. Each prize must be accepted as awarded and is non-transferable. Winners will not be permitted to select a different prize at the time of, or following, the draw. The Sponsors reserve the right to substitute all or a portion of the prize for a prize or prizes of equal or greater value for any reason including should all or a portion of the prize become unavailable.
Some prizes, by definition, are specific to either City of Windsor or County of Essex residents. Such prizes include the property tax holiday, rental free holiday, recreation passes and municipal parking passes. However, unless otherwise noted, prizes will be allocated to all eligible Windsor-Essex residents through the random draw process.
Residents of the City of Windsor are only eligible to win the property tax holiday and the rental free holiday if each individual residing in the winner’s household born in 2009 or earlier has been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
All times are approximate and may be adjusted at the sole discretion of the Sponsors.
